CHORLEY, England — Everyone agrees that his "jokes" making fun of two kidnapped girls crossed the line. Matthew Woods swiftly became an object of contempt after he posted the crude and offensive comments on his Facebook page.

Extrait (traduction libre) :
"En faisant de la "curation" avec Scoop.it, les élèves utilisent les compétences de pensée critique pour collecter, évaluer et analyser le contenu, ils peuvent identifier les tendances du discours, ils développent des compétences d'écriture dans l'expression originale, et ils interagissent, communiquent et publient à un public mondial. Mais peut-être plus important encore, les élèves pratiquent la citoyenneté numérique et la responsabilité personnelle à l'apprentissage continu."

Everybody needs to find the needle but the digital haystack grows so fast that only things like Scoop can help us to keep up with the information overload.

Not sure I like this idea as it shows how we are building on the past. My preference would be to shift the paradigm to embrace a whole person educational orientation. Your thoughts? Should education be only about knowledge? Delete the scoop?

We divided the infographic in separate sections to explain in more detail how brain science behind learning supports the concept of Personalized Learning. When you review this and understand that each brain is unique and changes as it learns, personalizing learning makes sense.
Thank you to Christine Hinton, Ed.D. and Jobs for the Future for this infographic. Delete the scoop?

Here's an inspiring short article by Elia Morling on the role of curators in storytelling.
Elia reports of a discussion he has had with netnographerOlga Kravets, in which she suggested that: "...curators serve their tribe like dumpster divers.
But here, is the most compelling part as Elia really seems to have distilled and illustrated here the three key and most valuable traits of a modern content curator:
a) Curators represent a new type of tribal leadership that operates bottom-up and peer to peer. c) Within a tribe they are not only appreciated for leveraging their insider skills, but for sustaining and developing their culture."
Definitely worth reading. Inspiring. 8/10
