I ran TeachMeet style CPD last year (in my own time) explaining and showing how to incorporate into the classroom or PLN; much of which was not taken on board. I covered and could do all 36!
Elizabeth Hutchinson's comment, March 7, 2013 5:51 AM
Well done Linda. Sorry the question sounded like an attack...it was ment to be a general question for everyone :) How frustrating that all your hard work fell on deaf ears. You can only keep trying.
Ivon Prefontaine's curator insight, March 8, 2013 7:17 PM

These are the 36 digital things that a 21st Century Teacher Should Be Able To Do. I do not have a problem with that, but they exclude the relational things we need to do and we should not.

Snapshot of a Deeper Learning Classroom: Aligning TED Talks to the Four Cs | STEM Education for Girls | Scoop.it

"...this year I have been dedicated to using the 21st Century four Cs. The four Cs are a rubric of sorts that help align lessons to more reality-based learning and assessing.

As I design a lesson or assessment, I ask myself if what I've designed, or what the students must master, correlates to the important skills of:

* Collaboration

* Communication

* Critical Thinking

These are the same skills used when high school students, in teams, design their game documentation, 2D/3D graphic design and programming.

eduPLEX's comment, March 1, 2013 6:38 AM
I think the C's have to be: Creativity, Collaborative, Connected, Contextual - I make sure all the courses I design have all of these C elements.

Teaching With an Interactive Whiteboard | Wired Cosmos

Teaching With an Interactive Whiteboard | Wired Cosmos | STEM Education for Girls | Scoop.it

Educreations' Interactive Whiteboard is great for teachers, who can use it to create video tutorials or animated lesson plans. Scientists in a forgotten era always loved to draw out mathematical formula data or vectors on a blackboard. This is a high-tech example of the same thing. It’s not a bad idea for coaches or managers either.
