I just finished testing two of the three altnernatives and I"m floored that they are free.  The guys at 37 signals do a great job and are geniuses at keeping themselves in the conversation but it's still $50 bucks a month for their software.  These alternatives are just as good and completely free and unlimited to use.  Small business gold.
