Kurt Varner is like a lot of young men trying to launch a business. Except that he's living in his car. It's kind of a necessity, it's kind of a gimmick--and it's kind of working.
**** I want to give Kurt money as I write this :). If living in his car to create a startup is a gimmick it is a great one. Rock on Kurt your car is far and away the least expensive place for you to sleep in the valley. In the meantime, if you need web programing or development help give me at call at Atlantic BT in Raleigh, NC and we will fix you up
Having just returned from San Francisco I can tell you Kurt is right about one thing. Being there is important. There is something in the air, something like the live chance of possiblity. I love living in NC, but San Francisco is where certain pieces of me have lived ever since I first woke up in Berkley at the Claremont staring across the bay at the magical city by the bay.
Read about the time I was the ONLY guest at the rambling Claremont: Martin's Shining http://scenttrail.blogspot.com/2009/10/martins-shining.html .
PS. Just received a nice Tweet from Kurt, the son I never had :). Kurt has my help and the support of every one of the 70 people at Atlantic BT anytime he needs it. Kurt lives in his car so WE don't have too (lol). Great spirit and marketing Kurt and you will be successful as there is little a 30 year marketing vet can teach you about cutting through NOISE and clutter. Sleep tight my friend. You have fans and supporters I suspect many of them as I write this :). M
BTW, seeing how Kurt's Twitter is blowing up he won't be in the car another night (lol). Great marketing Kurt. Rock On!
