"Yet in the business of sports, the perception of food is primarily that of a revenue source. That never made any sense to me, because here you are, you’re in the business of entertaining people, and if there’s one thing you have at your disposal that can completely seal that deal every time regardless of how well anybody plays on the field, it’s food.”

Concessions are one of the most important aspects of a sports venue. If a sports team has poor food quality it will definitely have an adverse effect on the attendance.

Thomas Salvatore's curator insight, November 2, 2013 2:13 PM

American sports are always trying to promorte their sports. The NFL is a prime example of a sport that is trying to gain popularity in other countries . With this video portal called Dailymotion you can watch live streaming of certain games and and highlights from most games. Dailymotion will be used in Belgium, France, and Switzerland. By promoting the sport overseas in the future you could possibly host games in these countries if the fans love it enough. Also fans may be more inclined to travel to the states and see a game for themselves. The article relates to sport management by the NFL marketing to more then just the normal United States football fan. By reaching out to other countries they could become more valuable with support from other countries.

New boys basketball coach at Pangburn focuses on defense Arkansas Online (subscription) Yielding stayed at Des Arc for three years, then made his way to Heber Springs, where he was the assistant baseball coach, but in the summer and fall he helped...
Cam Gravina's insight:

1. Becoming a coach is alot harder of a job then it really seems at first. Between all the classes you teach and all the time that it requires to be a coach is real rough.

2. I thought it was intresting how many kids he coaches and how hard coaching really is. He coaches many different ages and you have to learn how to coach those different ages not all learn the same

3. I selected this artcile becasue i really enjoy the department of coaching and managing a team. So i thought it was interesting when i saw the title and decided to read it.

4. Makes me realize how hard coaching really is and that its not the easiest thing to manage a team either takes alot of time and effort of you want to be succesful.

1. The Nfl is finding more ways to make money through there fans and there teams. Its all about the money and doing whatever to make more of it.

2. I thought it was interesting how they were only giving a few pacakges for the games and making the other games be bought.

3.I selected this article becasue I couldnt believe it was true. I think its so much easier just to watch on nfl network for free.

4. This will help the Nfl industry becasue it is jsut another money maker for the industry.

Even the weakest team in the NFL is going to give you trouble if you make mistakes like this coach does in all phases of the game.
Cam Gravina's insight:

1. I learend that despite the eagles loss the still seem like a huge threat even though the two points were not a succeed it was still the point that chip kelly is not afraid to take chances.

2 I really enjoyed reading about chip becuase I just love his attitude he brings to the game.He is relentless and always has his foot on the gas pedal no matter the situation.

3. I selecected this because I love chip kelly and how he coaches. He does such a great job with the players the other coaches and knows how to run a football team.

4.This will help me because it gives me the mentallity that if chip can do it. why cant i? I really want to become a great coach like him eventually he is a huge role model and it would be a dream to become like him.

On the Steelers: Browns looking even worse at 0-2 - Pittsburgh Post Gazette

On the Steelers: Browns looking even worse at 0-2
Pittsburgh Post Gazette
The point, however, is that the Browns change ownership/management/coaches/philosophies/systems so often that they never have a chance to build consistency.
Cam Gravina's insight:

1. I learned that the browns trading Trent Richarson was not as bad as I thought. Yes he is a big back with power but the front offcie doesnt see him as the future. There head coach and other front office members had different plans.

2. I thought how it was very interesting how the author was supporting the move by the browns and how everyone was disagreeing. I thought what was interesting that made me realize you should do the move that you want not what everyone else thinks.

3. I selected this article becuase I have a desire to be a football coach and that this was the highlight of the nfl week.

4. This will help me realize that its okay to take risky chances as a gm. Also that you do a move that makes the football team better and not just by thoughts of others.
