Create a Custom Search Engine, integrate with IntelliWebSearch « CATguru’s vlog

Google’s Custom Search Engine can be a convenient way to restrict searches to several specified domains, like the site:domain.com setting in Google’s Advanced Search for a single site/domain.

 

This video shows how to create a custom search engine for Finnish newspapers that includes the websites of five newspapers, as well as another custom search engine for Wikipedia in three different languages.

In this video, Dominique Pivard (aka CATguru) demonstrates how easy it is to search a number of preferred websites for words or phrases. This can be particularly useful in a number of situations: 1) to find how a specific word or phrase is used in context, 2) to research terminology on a website that does not integrate a search section, 3) to search several websites simultaneously.
