Este artículo me encantó. Ejemplifica en primera persona esa manía compulsiva de estereotipar y encasillar a todo el mundo. Esa pasión por las etiquetas, ¿qué eres?, tiene que acabar. Y pronto. Somos seres humanos, somos una mezcla de nuestro pasado y antepasados, de nuestras culturas, viajes y distintas capas que superponemos a nuestra identidad con cada experiencia y persona que conocemos.

Me identifico mucho con este artículo. Antes me preguntaban esto mucho cuando vivía en una ciudad más homógenea. Mi padre es un americano de decendencia alemana. Mi mamá es mexicana y 1/4 japonesa. No tengo la piel tan oscura como mi mamá ni tan blanca como mi padre. Me han preguntado si soy gringa, portuguesa, hawaiiana, mexicana, o qué? A veces veo que las personas se sorprenden al ver mis ojos verdes como si habían decidido "que era" pero al ve mis ojos de color ya no estaban seguros. Yo siempre les decía que era mexico-americana, aunque me molestaba la pregunta. Talvez a la otra simplemente les digo "humana" como dice Jessica.
