A CSS Presentation on "Colonizating Venus with Cloud Cities;" January 29th in North York, ON

A CSS Presentation on "Colonizating Venus with Cloud Cities;" January 29th in North York, ON | Space Conference News | Scoop.it

There are many compelling advantages to colonize Venus, at least according to entrepreneur Eric Boyd, who feels that we need a non-profit society which will help bring this possibility into the public eye, both via traditional awareness raising and by coordinating the needed R&D.

Join Boyd, and the rest of the Toronto chapter of the Canadian Space society, as he assesses, updates and offers up his suggestions for improvement to the original 2003 proposal from Geoffrey A. Landis that we should explore and ultimately colonize Venus using vehicles and cities designed to float high in the atmosphere.

The original Landis presentation is available online at http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/20030022668.pdf

Chuck Black's insight:

This free event will take place on the Keel Campus of York University in Room 320 of Bethune College beginning at 6:30pm on Friday, January 29th.
