Suze's insight:

This is a current issue in the tourism industry as nautral disasters can happen anytime and anywhere, There is no control over what it and it can cause the country or place where the incident occurred undesirable to the consumer. The impact of tourism on a host country

The impact of tourism on a host country Economic Socio-cultural Physical

Suze's insight:

The impact of tourism on a host country has positive and negatives. I've worked in a ski resort in Switzerland which is solely reliant on tourists. Accommodation for the workers is overly expensive and less available due to proprietors making property holiday apartments to make more money, which then affects workers negatively. This has turned into a current issue in Switzerland as the SVP political party want to minimise European workers to be able to work in Europe due to them agreeing to lesser wages than Standard swiss wages. They believe this will then lessen housing rent. 56% of voters are in favour of the suggestion.

Trade union - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trade union - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A trade union ( British English - trades union and amalgamation are also used), labour union ( Canadian English) or labor union ( American English) is an organization of workers who have united together to achieve common goals such as protecting the integrity of its trade, achieving higher pay, increasing the number of employees an employer hires, and better working conditions.

Suze's insight:

Trade union began in Europe. It is a continuous association of wage earners for the purpose of maintaining or improving the conditions of their employment. I've had to personally deal with the trade union in Switzerland because of being underpaid this coincides with knowing your rights and sticking up for them in fair trade. Checking regularly that your super has been paid by your employer seems to be a common slip up. Also in Australia.

Current issue in Australia is the second airport in Sydney to be built. this is a plus for the tourism industry and western sydney. Creating more jobs and also bringing more tourists. This can only do good things australia. especially that the airport is planned to be 24hrs. Only the local community will be against this which is understandable. More noise. As a travel agent this would create more flights so more flexiblity in choosing times of departure for clients. Would bring in more business.
