Google Doodle For Zora Neale Hurston

Google Doodle For Zora Neale Hurston | Soup for thought |
Today on is a special Doodle, aka logo, for Zora Neale Hurston. Zora Neale Hurston is considered one of the pre-eminent writers of 20th African-American literature.
malek's insight:

Zora Hurston had this great vision

"educating black students in physical proximity to white students would not result in better education. In addition, she worried about the demise of black schools and black teachers as a way to pass on cultural tradition to future generations of African Americans"

I think that at one time, there was as push for everyone to conform to one standard. To "assimilate" and leave behind those things that define one cultural perspective differently than another. But now, especially in entrepreneurship, I'm hearing that people want to embrace their qualities and lead with their strengths. Instead of rejecting them to conform to another standard. That is being played out right now in a lot of areas in addition to small business.
