Perseverance Records is a label that continues to rebound in a major way and rightfully so and with their last few releases like David Newman's Animals United and Ennio Morricone's Exorcist 2: The Heretic, they have hit another home run and this time around is a terrific reissue of one of the late Jerry Fielding's most accessible and brilliant jazz based score for Clint Eastwood's hit action-thriller The Gauntlet, starring Eastwood himself in the duel role of actor/director, as well as his then wife Sondra Locke and character actors William Prince, Michael Cavanaugh, Bill McKinney and Pat Hingle.
