Is Your Content Worthy of a Like, Share, Pin, Retweet, Google +1? | Social Media Today

Is Your Content Worthy of a Like, Share, Pin, Retweet, Google +1? | Social Media Today | Sosiaalinen Media | Scoop.it

This is a question that each person active on social media should ask himself a day or another. Have you ever thought? [note mg]

How many hours have you spent adding buttons, gadgets and widgets to your new blog or website? You research the right tools, share buttons, share bars, analytic tracking tools and more. You install them with a hope and a prayer that someone somewhere is going to use them.

However, unfortunately many business leaders find they don’t get used. The share buttons sit on their site with the lonely zero or default +1. Chances are your pocket book or wallet might be feeling a little lonely too.

What if you took the same time you spend on the share bars, share buttons and tools and instead first focus on something worthy of a share? I know it sounds like a crazy concept because after all it’s far easier to focus on the bright shiny objects, geeky tools and data analytics.

Trust me, I am a data junkie and could literally spend all day helping my clients dig into the heads of their target audiences with a goal of embedding their brand in their brains!

Is your content worthy of a share?

Top 10 Blogs for Authors | Sosiaalinen Media | Scoop.it
Serious writers, who have experienced some level of success, when probed, will reveal that they have done their homework.

They continuously read various magazines and blogs for authors, not just to help them improve their writing, but to ensure that they stay on top of the latest developments and opportunities.

Many of the opportunities that I’ve snagged were discovered only as a result of reading and interacting with others on various blogs. These are opportunities I never would’ve found, otherwise...

11 Guaranteed Ways to Get Others to Retweet Your Content

11 Guaranteed Ways to Get Others to Retweet Your Content | Sosiaalinen Media | Scoop.it

After creating content -- whether it's a blog post, an ebook, a webinar, or a video -- it's important to promote that content through social media channels.

And when you do promote that content in social media, you cross your fingers that it generates a ton of shares, tweets, and interaction. For the sake of Twitter, if you follow a few simple best practices, more people are likely to retweet and spread the distribution of your content, giving it a much broader reach and a better opportunity to get found by a new audience of prospective customers beyond your direct followers. Marketers should know how to retweet the right way, but it's also critical for them to learn how to get others to retweet their content, too.

How Much Should I Charge for My Freelance Services?

How Much Should I Charge for My Freelance Services? | Sosiaalinen Media | Scoop.it

Congratulations and welcome to the exciting world of working for yourself. Putting a price on your services is one of the biggest challenges freelancers face. You don't want to set your rate so low that your business won't thrive, and it'll be hard to raise rates later when your business becomes more established, but you also don't want to set them so high you scare off clients. Here's some advice on establishing what to charge. Whip out a pencil and paper, because we're going to be doing some math.
