Hi everybody and you may have noticed I added a dedicated Sony video camera forum that is for video cameras like the NEW FDR-AXP35, AX1, AX100, HDR-PJ540, HDR-MV1, FDR-X1000V, etc... Sony Handycams/ Camcorders, and Action cameras are what I'm talking about. I think I will add the interchangeable lens video cameras as well soon... http://sonyalphalab.com/forums/showthread.php?2721-New-Video-Forum
So lets break this new Sony Alpha A7r II down properly now that we have all digested the initial announcement hype and so fourth.... The $3298 US price tag is starting to become and issue on the web, but we must remember that the original A7r cost $2298 US when it first came out. Then adding all the new features to that price point and we end up in the $3000 area really fast. Sony decided upgrade a lot of hardware on this unit and not just cheap gimmick software updates either. Where talking new
I have always been impressed with the build quality and design of the Pentax System, and this latest K-3 III is no different! The specs are very impressive and offer something different than the competition, thanks to the killer Sony sensor and other impressive technology used... Very affordable competitive price considering feature set and Image quality that the Sony sensor should deliver in my opinion.
In this next challenge we the awesome fireworks celebrations happening around the world, and this can require some special settings on the camera to get the best possible results. The Sony cameras have a fireworks mode that works well, but you can also use manual mode and take total control of the exposure yourself! It's time to get out the tri-pod and switch to the M mode on your camera for this next challenge! http://sonyalphalab.com/forums/showthread.php?2673-SAL-Photography-Challenge-8-Manual-Mode-Only
Now this a mind blowing rumor and I hope it is true! The New Sony A7000 has a HDR Sensor capable of capturing up to 15.5 EV's of dynamic range! The current Sony A6000 sensor has only 13.1 EV's for example.
So HDR technology and killer hybrid AF will really set the new Sony A7000 apart from the A6000 line and anything else really? I hope a new tri-navi body design is also part of the package? Thoughts??
I reviewed the HX300 a while back, and it was an awesome camera to say the least considering power and cost! The 400v is the updated better version of course, and Sony is likely to announce something newer I suppose ;)
For those that are always frustrated with Sony not showing any love for the DSLR/ SLT users we have an update!! New Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 ZA SSM II Vario-Sonnar T* Lens and Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 ZA SSM II Vario-Sonnar T* Lens!
