By using this mindmapping exercise an entirely song is going to be laid out facing you and all sorts of you want to do is keep to the paths you have created.

This workout is quite simple but extremely effective in fleshing out of the body of your song from your single idea, phrase or even a word. Here's generate an income practice it.

1. Take your idea, phrase or word and write it in the middle of an item of paper and draw a circle around it (eg. Dog).

2. From that circle diversify (approximately) five lines and also at the end of these lines write anything that is certainly linked to the central word (eg. labrador, walking, loyal, barking, golden). These words may be the basis for ones verses and choruses.

3. From those five words start writing other words linked to them etcetera.

Once you have had enough you will notice with your sheet the full song mapped out in front individuals and it also all started from a perception, phrase or (from the example above) a single word.

You should never must many initial ideas springing from your central theme because may turn your song in a complicated mess of lots of ideas pulling against each other. You wouldn't like anymore than five.

Originate from the center and work outwards and follow the word paths you have created and find out what phrases it is possible to come up with from doing that.

Remember it's not necessary to employ all (or any) on the words you have written down, this is another way of opening proper effort into new methods for generating ideas.

Many of us are visual people. I access information the top by doing this and i also can advise you creating a whole song mapped out in front of me helps make the job of formulating a song far less difficult.

Give it a try and see what the results are, you will end up surprised about some of the paths and tangents you create.

Jimmy Iovine and the major labels are conspiring to get rid of free. Not only the free tier on Spotify, but on YouTube too. Apple writes a check to the labels at 40 million subscribers for years, whether they reach that number or not, and everybody pays for music.

Ello. If you haven't heard of it yet you would have without my help. The media needs a new social networking topic and Ello is perfect. It's ad-free, anti-Facebook and cool with drag queens. Does that mean it's time for musicians to get on board for an ad-free, non-Facebook social media experience? That depends on a lot of things but there is a lot of energy moving into Ello at the moment and there is an opportunity to be an early adopting musician with a lot of new friends and music to share. Currently Ello is in beta, is commited ...

The Future of Music Curation: Where Are We Headed

The Future of Music Curation: Where Are We Headed | Songwriting | Scoop.it

Robin Good's curator insight, September 13, 2013 10:13 AM

People want recommendations from people that have their same tastes and values. Human curation is going to make a big difference in how people are going to discover, appreciate and get in love with new music and artists.

From the original article: "In this episode of the Deep Dive, Cortney Harding and Kyle Bylin discuss music curation with outspoken tech exec and startup founder J Herskowitz."

"Curation is a topic that just keeps coming up in the press. Spotify buys Tunigo. 8tracks revamps its website. Songza introduces a paid tier. And Beats Music poaches several high-level people in preparation for a U.S. launch. Meanwhile, Rhapsody and Google Play are talking about how they have been using humans to curate all along.

What does all of this mean? Where might music streaming services take curation next?"

Takeaways:

  • Individual curators may have an edge over crowd-curation.

  • Many different types of curation being used.

  • It remains to be seen whether expert music curators will win over talented unkown amateur curators.

  • Likely, these different approaches may live all side-by-side, satisfying different needs.

  • Mood- and experience-curation is a strong emerging trend besides traditional music styles and genres

  • Curated music playlists to enhance specific life activities

Interesting discussion. Recommended listening. 7/10

David Raimbaud's curator insight, September 19, 2014 2:44 AM

Les gens veulent des recommandations de personnes qui ont leurs mêmes goûts et valeurs. La curation humaine fera une grande différence dans la façon dont les gens vont découvrir, apprécier et acquérir de la nouvelle musique.

De l'article original: "In this episode of the Deep Dive, Cortney Harding and Kyle Bylin discuss music curation with outspoken tech exec and startup founder J Herskowitz."

Spotify achète Tunigo. 8tracks refond son site Internet. Songza introduit un niveau d'abonnement payant. Et Beats se prépare à dominer le monde de la curation (slogan: "Music by human for human"). La curation rentre dans une nouvelle ère.
