iOS 8 Roundup: Everything We Know

iOS 8 Roundup: Everything We Know | Software | Scoop.it
Tyler Kempa's insight:

There don't seem to be many changes with the new operating software for the iPhone that will debut this fall. I think  healthbook is an interesting feature even though there are plenty of apps in the app store that do the same thing. It appears they also want to integrate iCloud into the phone more.

Tyler Kempa's insight:

I use Photoshop occasionally but I've never paid any attention to the keyboard shortcuts. This will definitely help me work faster. I use it on a PC and the picture shows a Mac keyboard layout but the shortcuts should be the same.

It's no secret that Adobe Photoshop is the most powerful photo editing software in the world. Anyone who's used Photoshop will tell you that the learning curve is quite steep and that it takes a while to learn how to use all the tools and features.

I've been using Photoshop for almost three years now, and I've found that the best way to use the software is to take advantage of the keyboard shortcuts. The latest release of Photoshop has a few new shortcuts, all of which are explained in this elegant cheat sheet. Memorize these shortcuts and you'll be a Photoshop expert in no time!

NASA Software Release to Spark Public Innovation
International Business Times UK
"When NASA develops this software, we know the code may have uses beyond the original mission," the space agency said in a statement.
Tyler Kempa's insight:

I think it's very cool that NASA is willing to make its software open to the public. Now people can see the software that made the Apollo missions and other things run. This should spark innovation and maybe people will modify it to do interesting things.
