Seven Communication Sins That Kill Simplicity and Business | Convince and Convert

Seven Communication Sins That Kill Simplicity and Business | Convince and Convert | SocialMoMojo Web | Scoop.it
The way you communicate with prospects and customers creates or destroys value. Too often we complicate things and we may not realize it. Here are 7 ways to avoid poor communication that kills simplicity, credibility, and business.
Jessica Kelly's insight:

This is a terrific post, cleverly presenting seven different types of communication styles that can do little but cause communication breakdowns. I especially love the conclusion:

"The first way any audience experiences you is through your communication. Make every touch simple, human, and easy for your audience to see why you are the answer, and not just one more complicating factor in their already complex lives. Be the antidote to their complexity. Whether you know it or not, you’re the Chief Simplification Officer. Speak like one."

Twitter CFO Says a Facebook-style Filtered Feed Is Coming, Whether You Like It or Not | Gigaom

Twitter CFO Says a Facebook-style Filtered Feed Is Coming, Whether You Like It or Not | Gigaom | SocialMoMojo Web | Scoop.it
At a financial conference, Twitter’s chief financial officer Anthony Noto suggested that the service will offer algorithm-driven curation of feeds much like Facebook does, in order to try and improve the relevance for users
Jessica Kelly's insight:

Well, I'm a 100% behind that big thumbs-down. I understand that Twitter wants to grow, but to do so at the expense of losing its core users will be a double-whammy -- they'll lose their base *and* they'll find a drop in content quality. But I suppose that may make no difference in the grand scheme of bean-counting. I'm hoping that our Twitter lists will protect us from the change; that is, that this will affect only our main feed and our lists will remain unfiltered and chronological. (Please?)  :(
