Yes, I've got years of marcom expertise, and I know how important ad revenue is. Yes, I'll probably be one of those crazy people who will use the (also new) opt-ad ad controls, which is what FB is hyping as the main change (see https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2016/08/a-new-way-to-control-the-ads-you-see-on-facebook-and-an-update-on-ad-blocking/).

OK, so I did go deselect a bunch of "preferred" ad categories -- and if it weren't so time consuming, I would have deleted everything but one odd category, like Norwegian black wave metal pop. ;)
