While Facebook remains the most popular social media site, other platforms — like LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter — saw higher rates of growth over the past year. In 2014, 52% of online adults used two or more social media sites, up from 42% in 2013.

So in a nutshell, FB growth has slowed, but user engagement has grown. Conversely, other platforms (LI, Pin, Insta, Tw) show more growth but stagnant engagement numbers. Me, I'd rather see engagement -- basic body counts aren't terribly meaningful.

Not a typical post for me, but I'm intrigued by two things here:

 

1. The recommendation to post *10* times a day

2. The generic nature of the suggested posts

 

What do you think about these recommendations? How do you think they support the (worthy) strategy that recommends we "use fantastic content" and "develop relationship"?

 

Perhaps my strategy differs in terms of the definitions of "fantastic" and "relationship." Call me old school, but I'll favor authenticity and targeting every time over quantity.
