How To Use Pinterest For Business – Three Tips From A Pinterest Super User | Business 2 Community

How To Use Pinterest For Business – Three Tips From A Pinterest Super User | Business 2 Community | socialmediainterests | Scoop.it

We hear that Pinterest is a really only used by younger females – so let me introduce you to Dan Ashbach, who is a retired airline pilot, just to provide a different perspective. You might have read my article about how many boards should we have on Pinterest where I comment that Dan has just 38 boards (I wonder if that is a coincidence that he has been married for 38 years) that versus many accounts I see with well over 100 Pinterest boards. Dan recently participated in a Google Plus Hangout with PinLeague and this is a recap of some of his ideas and perspectives about Pinterest as a super user with over 1.5 million followers. Yes I know you usually expect me to share tips about content marketing and social media for business, but I think you will find the ideas Dan shares provides an interesting insight into what a Pinterest super user thinks. Dan started to see his Pinterest boards grow at a fast rate in 2012, building from a few thousand followers to over a million followers....

How Are Moms Using Social Media (And Why Does This Matter To Marketers)? | AllTwitter | socialmediainterests | Scoop.it

Did you know that a recent study showed that almost half (44 percent) of moms have gone on to make a purchase after a friend posted a recommendation or liked a product on a social media site? We’ve been here before, of course (many times), but it bears repeating – moms and social media make a great mix, and if these socially savvy ladies are a demographic fit for your business then you should absolutely be engaging with them – frequently – within your marketing campaigns. You need more proof? Moms love to share information about products. Your products. More than nine in ten (92 percent) pass along information about deals or finds to others, and 78 percent of moms follow brands on social media to get coupons and discounts (compared to 55 percent of other folk). They’re mobile, too – 89 percent of moms use their smartphone to check social media on the move....

Optimizing For Facebook Graph Search: SEO Meets Social

Optimizing For Facebook Graph Search: SEO Meets Social | socialmediainterests | Scoop.it

As Facebook Graph Search evolves and marketers begin to come to grips with the opportunities provided from the social graph, it becomes clear that a combination of both search and social media tactics are required if brands aim to improve visibility in the graph search engine results.

Just as on-page optimization is vital to SEO, Facebook page optimization is the first place to start on your Graph Search strategy. Ensure that you have selected the appropriate category, and plan for your basic information (such as the short description and the elements on your About page) to contain descriptive keywords, just like search. Make sure your page is relevant, always up to date, and publicly viewable and sharable.

Using LinkedIn for 30 Minutes a Day

Using LinkedIn for 30 Minutes a Day | socialmediainterests | Scoop.it

An issue that comes up regularly is about time. Everyone wonders how much time on LinkedIn (and on social mediain general) is enough time to devote to make it work and to produce successful results for your business.

The answer to the question is slightly subjective although it is a good idea to have some sort of time range in mind. You should figure that if you spend between 15 to 30 minutes a day on LinkedIn.
