What Does Your Favorite Social Network Say About You? [INFOGRAPHIC] - AllTwitter

What Does Your Favorite Social Network Say About You? [INFOGRAPHIC] - AllTwitter | SocialMedia_me | Scoop.it
What is it about Twitter that makes it your favourite social network? Could it be that you value sharing information more than personal experiences? Or if Facebook is your social network of choice, is that perhaps because you are uncomfortable with the unfamiliar, inasmuch as other social networks give you the heebie jeebies? And if you love Google+, then there’s only one reason for it: you work in online marketing. After all, why else would you bother? Some of these are a bit of a stretch, but there’s at least a sliver of truth throughout this visual fromDigital Information World, which proposes what your favourite social network says about you.

The Ultimate Guide To Pinterest For Every Brand: Engage And Flourish

The Ultimate Guide To Pinterest For Every Brand: Engage And Flourish | SocialMedia_me | Scoop.it
THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO PINTEREST FOR EVERY BRAND: ENGAGE AND FLOURISH On the surface, Pinterest metrics seem simple, but underneath they are actually a bit confusing. This follow up article to our Ultimate Guide for Pinterest should help you gain a deeper understanding of Pinterest metrics and provide tips on effectively engaging with, and growing your follower base. Like Twitter, Pinterest allows you to post content to your feed that will appear in the newsfeed of your followers. The catch is unlike Twitter, you actually have multiple feeds that you can post to in the form of boards. This in of itself is not hard to understand, think of it as categorizing the content you post. The confusing part comes into play when you look deeper and realize each board has its own set of followers (see this blog post by a Pinterest developer on the inner workings of the follower graph). This means that any one of your followers may only be following a subset of your boards.

If you’re like me, then you might have a slight addiction to Instagram.  No, seriously.  If you find yourself flicking through the app with cat-like reflexes a few more than a dozen times a day, you might be on the brink of IG overload.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Facebook advocate too, but there’s something to be said about the intuitive and easy-to-use interface of Instagram:

Quelli meno fantasiosi alla fine (oppure all’inizio).

Baggout – Social Curation Based On What Friends and Other Users Like And Buy - Business 2 Community

Baggout – Social Curation Based On What Friends and Other Users Like And Buy - Business 2 Community | SocialMedia_me | Scoop.it
Humans are social beasts and hence shopping is inherently social. While the online buying trend continues to grow, our tendency to find out what our friends intend to buy and what they have bought also grows. In today’s social times, quite a few startups are trying to solve the same i.e. bringing the social layer to online shopping making the experience an interesting and social one. Delhi based startup Baggout is doing this via a portal and an Android app. The main objective of the startup is to make the online buying behavior process simple by adding a social layer for users, and for eCommerce portals it means more customers at their door steps.

When a Social Media Impression Is Not an Impression

When a Social Media Impression Is Not an Impression | SocialMedia_me | Scoop.it
It seems every measurement tool has its own definition of a ‘Social Impression’, but that definition always takes the theoretical maximum number of views based on the number of followers each participant has. Unfortunately, the metric is disingenuous at best. The likelihood that every follower was online, saw, engaged, recorded, took note and let their eyes fall over that specific interaction is unlikely (if not impossible).I’d encourage brands to worry less about the media coverage and dig into metrics that, while may seemingly result in smaller numbers, account for true engagement and real interactions including response rates, shares and re-tweets.by Andy White
