Chi usa il proprio smartphone/tablet per accedere a internet è più attivo sui social media, e li usa con maggior frequenza: l’84% del tempo dei possessori di smartphone è speso sui social network: Facebook (65% del traffico arriva da mobile) e Twitter (la percentuale raggiunge il 75%).

In a new study by Disruptive Communications, 44.5% of women and 36.5% of men say that offers and discounts are their main reason for follow brands on Twitter or clicking “Like” on their Facebook Page. Funny/entertaining posts and content ranked second overall, favoured by 25.6% of women and 22.6% of men.

Recently, members of Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania released their findings from a study on the effect of social media content on customer engagement. 

In the study conducted via Facebook, Dokyun Lee and Kartik Hosanagar of the University of Pennsylvania, and Harikesh Nair of Stanford, set out to investigate what type of content was more effective to engage the target audience for an advertiser on social media.
