We spend a ton of time using social media. But what is our behavior post-click, when we actually interact with a link one of our friends shared socially?

6 notewothy findings from ”Social Referrals That Matter” Report by Shareaholic:

1) YouTube is the undisputed champion;

2) Although Google+ and LinkedIn drive the fewest social referrals, they bring in some of the best visitors;

3) A referral from Twitter is as good as a referral from Facebook — at least, in terms of bounce rate, pages per visit and time on site;

4) Pinterest isn’t exactly the social media golden child we all play it up to be;

5) Reddit users are the most fickle;

6) StumbleUpon drives the least engaged referrals.

Instagram è uno dei canali cresciuti più rapidamente: questo gli ha permesso di guadagnare l’attenzione di utenti e aziende in modo decisivo negli ultimi mesi.

[Report Simply Measured] Come 80 Top Brand usano Instagram


Nel 2012 soltanto il 35% produceva almeno un contenuto a settimana, mentre oggi più di 7 brand su 10 condividono immagini o video con la propria community su base settimanale e hanno un seguito di più di 10.000 follower.
L'engagement è più che raddoppiato rispetto al 2013 e la frequenza di utilizzo continua a crescere.

Questo non è dovuto – soltanto – all’incremento del numero di post condivisi, ma ad un aumento della qualità dei contenuti, e a una rapida crescita di utenti attivi.

6. 66% of user-generated tweets that mention brands come from mobile users

 

7. Twitter users who mostly use a mobile device are 181%  more likely to be on Twitter during their commute

 

8. Amplifiers are 122% more likely to send direct messages
