Nel 2012 soltanto il 35% produceva almeno un contenuto a settimana, mentre oggi più di 7 brand su 10 condividono immagini o video con la propria community su base settimanale e hanno un seguito di più di 10.000 follower.
L'engagement è più che raddoppiato rispetto al 2013 e la frequenza di utilizzo continua a crescere.

Questo non è dovuto – soltanto – all’incremento del numero di post condivisi, ma ad un aumento della qualità dei contenuti, e a una rapida crescita di utenti attivi.

Global Web Index ha rilasciato il report quadrimestrale che racconta gli ultimi trend legati allo scenario dei social media.

Secondo i dati rilasciati dal Global Web Index (GWI Social - Q2 2014: http://bit.ly/1o3l6cc),  Instagram è il canale cresciuto maggiormente negli ultimi 6 mesi: +25% di utenti attivi.

Facebook continua a crescere per numero di utenti registrati e di visite, ma il suo utilizzo attivo è in lieve flessione (-6%). 

Google+ è cresciuto del 10% negli ultimi 6 mesi, posizionandosi così come secondo social network a livello di utenti registrati; mentre Youtube e Twitter sono secondi per numero di persone che li utilizzano attivamente.

Instagram non è più un luogo di creazione di immagini, ma un luogo di condivisioni di immagini e, da poco, anche video.

Si sperimenta di meno (vengono usate altre app per modificare le immagini), si pubblica di più.
La prossima evoluzione? Forse l'abbandono delle foto quadrate a favore di altri formati.
