Play and Learn Islands

Play and Learn Islands | SocialLibrary | Scoop.it

One of the winners of the 2012 Bright Ideas Harvard University:

"Babies and young children learn through play. It is their source for information about the world. As part of the the Rancho Cucamonga [CA] Library’s mission to foster life-long learning, we now offer opportunities for young children to play while building skills for learning and literacy in all stages of life.

In the spring of 2010, we welcomed four Play and Learn Islands™ to the libraries, providing a new and unique way to bring play and learning to the youngest members of our community."

Hop on the Missoula Public Library’s Web on Wheels (W.O.W.) bus at one of its scheduled stops this month and you can take advantage of a new service it’s offering that covers basic computer maintenance techniques.

You can learn how to set up free virus scan programs, clean up your hard drive, compress your memory, delete old programs and more."
