Yesterday, Google began rolling out a brand new Search page design in the USA.
At first look, your first impression of Google’s new (currently US-only) Search page may be positive. There are many impressive traits in the new layout, largely relating to how uncluttered the design is, despite the massive amount of work that is inherently involved in generating quality search results.
One improvement involves Google Image Search, which now lets you scroll straight into a full-screen grid of photos, thanks to a responsive design and continuous scrolling.

Robin Good: Broadcast for Friends is a new video streaming app from Ustream which allows to send live video from your iPhone to your Facebook page.
From the Mashable review: "...Videos can be recorded using either the forward-facing or rear-facing camera on your phone, and there are a number of built-in filters — which can be changed while you film –- in order to give your video a distinctive look. A free download, signing up for BFF simply requires you to authorize the app via Facebook, a natural move since your ultimate goal will of course to be to broadcast the video you record onto the social network. ...An Only Me, Friends, and Public option shows up before you start, letting you decide how your video is shared. ...Once you select a privacy setting there’s a 3-second countdown and then you’re streaming live. ...Videos are only saved to your Facebook profile if you choose to save them once you’re done filming. ...As you’re shooting your video, likes and comments you receive on your Facebook post are displayed in real time on your phone. ...Broadcast for Friends will be available soon for the iPhone. "Search and social media are joined at the hip – or are they? As search engine rankings get more complex, and the dust has settled on search engine updates from the last 18 month, marketers are left wondering what’s next.
Although social media and search engine optimization used to be in two different camps of online marketing, they seem to be increasingly linked together.
In 2010, Google implemented a more social friendly search algorithm that took author reputation, bookmarking, commenting and other social “signals” (likes, retweets, shares and more) into account when presenting their search engine results. In addition, they began to implement the “Search Plus Your World” option for searchers who were logged into their Google accounts while searching. Other search engines quickly followed suit, and SEOs everywhere began to emphasize social media for optimization.

Well, it looks like social media may be the only good strategy we have now.
Bad links, link farms, and many other reasons were made because of the result of this Google update.
It seems as though most people don’t want to accept the fact that some of the link building strategies that they are doing are just plain wrong now, and since you can’t beat a dead horse, a change must be made!

Its amazing to see how much time people are spending listening to music. Even more so than thier own productivity or social networking. Wow I think its amazing that these tools can bring it to the forefront of the mind. Although is it conveying music or "mixtapes" or "cover tunes." I have a hard time finding whats new and music to what some one sampled. Delete the scoop?
