Plus d’un tiers des 15 ans et plus, regardent chaque mois la télévision en replay ou sur un autre écran que le téléviseur, soit 18,3 millions de personnes, selon l’étude Global TV de Médiamétrie. Ce chiffre a progressé de 4,7 millions de personnes supplémentaires en un an, soit +35%.
Ils utilisent avant tout l’ordinateur : 24,1% des sondés déclarent y regarder la télévision en live ou en catch-up au cours du dernier mois. Puis ils utilisent la tablette (8,7%) qui devance pour la première fois le smartphone (7,9%).
Au quotidien, le public consacre 7 minutes par jour à regarder des contenus en replay ou sur un autre écran. Cela représente une augmentation de 2 minutes en un an. Les modes de consommation traditionnels restent fortement majoritaires : en 2013, les Français ont regardé la télévision 3h46’ par jour en live ou en différé sur leur téléviseur.
38% des nouveaux pratiquants de la «télévision autrement» ont plus de 50 ans. Dans cette tranche d’âge, un individu sur 5 adopte ces pratiques alors qu’ils sont déjà 64% parmi les 15-24 ans. Comme les 15+, les plus de 50 ans privilégient l’ordinateur (12,6%) à la tablette (4,2%) et au smartphone (2,3%).
L’étude a été menée au 4ème trimestre 2013 auprès de 6 887 personnes âgées de 15 ans et plus.
