NAB: Never.no debuts social media prompter for TV talent

NAB: Never.no debuts social media prompter for TV talent | Social TV is everywhere | Scoop.it

Producing live TV is tricky enough, but add real-time social media to the mix, and it can be downright difficult. The social TV startup Never.no has rolled out a new product here at NAB that aims to make it easier for on-air talent to react to social media without waiting for a script. Called “Prompter,” it runs on an iPad app.

“It’s a second version of a companion app, but specifically for presenters,” said Never.no’s Scott Davies, who showed us how it works. Using Never.no’s current products, producers can curate social media in real-time, picking the tweets and Facebook updates they want to appear on air.

Seevibes Launches Seevibes Score as Standard Measurement for TV Audience Engagement in Social Media

Seevibes Launches Seevibes Score as Standard Measurement for TV Audience Engagement in Social Media | Social TV is everywhere | Scoop.it

Seevibes has built a social media tool dedicated to monitoring and analyzing TV broadcasts. The technology platform maps everything showing on TV to all the relevant social media conversations about the shows and the commercials. To date, Seevibes’ social TV data covers 30 TV networks and 1000 TV shows across Canada. The company measures the activity of viewers on social networks to calculate market share of any given TV broadcast and provides detailed demographics on the viewers. This data is used to create a visualization of the social community connected to each program and thus to interact with them to build loyalty and promote the contents of a TV channel.

With the Seevibes Score, is established a standard to help the media and advertising industry put an agreed value on the engaged TV audience. Seevibes gives an impartial analysis. The Seevibes Score is an authoritative value around which advertisers and broadcasters can negotiate.

Bluefin Labs Launches Social TV Analytics Product Built for Brands

Bluefin Labs Launches Social TV Analytics Product Built for Brands | Social TV is everywhere | Scoop.it

Bluefin Labs, the social TV analytics company, today announced the launch of Signals Brand Edition, a platform that measures and analyzes the social media performance of TV ad campaigns at scale. Since the birth of television advertising, there has never been an automated system that tracks all commercials -- where they are running and how people are responding in social media -- until now. Bluefin Labs launches with several initial clients including PepsiCo, Kraft Foods, Mars, Humana and Quicken Loans, together with agency partners Starcom MediaVest Group, Hill Holliday, Horizon Media, Initiative, MediaCom, Optimedia and Zenith Media.

The introduction of Signals Brand Edition gives brands the ability to track commercials that run across U.S. national television, see a clear picture of when and where they air, and gain insight into how a TV campaign moves consumer conversation in social media. Via an online dashboard, brands can now measure the impact of TV ads on brand conversation and discover the volume of social media users exposed to their TV ads. Signals Brand Edition also analyzes brand and lifestyle affinities of TV audiences, so brands can better target their TV campaign toward consumers who are most likely to respond and engage.

Social media analysis: TV’s next revolution?

Social media analysis: TV’s next revolution? | Social TV is everywhere | Scoop.it

Deb Roy, a faculty member at MIT and founder of Bluefin Labs, a Social TV solutions company, gave a mind-blowing social TV presentation at Paris-based internet gathering LeWeb last week. Sure, there’s been lots of talk of late about social TV: but to our knowledge, few companies are analysing social media conversations as deeply as Bluefin Labs right now.

For Roy, the initial aim of his company was to “study the interplay between language and context in TV.” Henry Ford’s infamous claim that “half my advertising is wasted; I just don’t know which half” was also a key inspiration, said Roy. Indeed, the feedback loop social media provides can be particularly useful for brands, producers and broadcasters.

zeebox - a new way to watch television

zeebox - a new way to watch television | Social TV is everywhere | Scoop.it

zeebox is the new way to watch television. It's social, - connecting you to your TV - watching friends, so you can chat, share and tweet about whatever's on. And it's clever - helping you find out more about anything you're watching with links (zeetags) popping up instantly as you watch. Amazing.
