Facebook message claiming users have 'copyright' to photos, timeline posts is a hoax

Facebook message claiming users have 'copyright' to photos, timeline posts is a hoax | Social on the GO!!! | Scoop.it

If you do not want to fall into the trap, read this article. For once I do not control the information, I published this information on my facebook wall...! [note Martin Gysler]

A new Facebook hoax has some users thinking they own the copyrights to material posted to their pages.

A news message claiming that Facebook users have copyrights to their photos, videos and messages is a load of baloney, according to a report.

They don't.

The post, which has recently popped up in some users timelines, says:

“In response to the new Facebook guidelines I hereby declare that my copyright is attached to all of my personal details, illustrations, comics, paintings, professional photos and videos, etc. (as a result of the Berner Convention). For commercial use of the above my written consent is needed at all times!”

To protect copyrights of your facebook content you need to like this t-shirt. Also, if it reaches 10.000 likes it saves a puppy! Please think of the puppies!
