All-Instagram Exhibition Highlights Mobile Creativity

Kajsa Hartig's insight:

"It used to be that the process of taking quality photos required an elaborate set-up, complete with a darkroom to reveal the results. Now the process is much simpler: put phone in hand and take photo. On February 6, the Columbus Art Museum (CMA) opened an exhibition composed of photos submitted only via Instagram, calling it “the largest mobile photography exhibition ever organized by a museum.” It’s appropriately dubbed #MobilePhotoNow."

The story features over 6,000 words juxtaposed with multiple photographs, videos, audio recordings, and animated illustrations. Amico recently spoke about the project at The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard."

The Iceberg That Sinks Organizational Change

The Iceberg That Sinks Organizational Change | Museums and emerging technologies | Scoop.it

Some aspects of organizational culture are visible on the surface, like the tip of an iceberg, while others are implicit and submerged within the organization. Because these ingrained assumptions are tacit and below the surface, they are not easy to see or deal with, although they affect everything the organization does.

Esther D. Kustanowitz:  "A new transmedia website provides fresh content that expands the narrative world that will be established in June 2015's "Jurassic World" movie."

Dominique Taste's curator insight, February 9, 1:39 PM

Dr. Pamela Rutledge's curator insight, February 10, 11:19 AM

You can already imagine the journey to Jurassic World.  Transmedia makes entertainment personal, providing avenues for mental projection that transports you into the upcoming storyworld.
