Table Of Contents §1 – Introduction §2 – How To Supercharge Your Time With IFTTT §3 – The Cookbook: Which Recipes Are Best? §4 – Conclusion 1. Introduction 1.1 Just What The Heck Is IFTTT Anyway?
A few months ago, I was looking for a productivity tool that would help me save time and increase efficiency. An online friend told me about IFTTT (If This Then That). At first, I was skeptical because she had mentioned the word “automation”. However, she was so enthusiastic about it that I decided to do some research and see how people used it.
I discovered that IFTTT does not just allow you to update your social media profiles automatically. You can also use it to save your Instagram photos into Dropbox, or turn your Inbox into a social media monitoring dashboard, for example.
I signed up for an account the day when The New York Times launched its IFTTT channels, and haven’t looked back since.
While IFTTT is not difficult to figure out, it may be a little overwhelming when you are just getting started.
To help you with that, check out Albert Martinez’s excellent guide. He goes through the basics and shares a great list of examples that will help fuel your creativity.

Tackk is a neat webpage creation service, especially if you are not used to building websites.
Customization may be minimal, but there are a few interesting options available, including the ability to embed the page on a website or a blog.
What I like the most about Tackk is the ease of use. I created a page to test things out and it took me less than two minutes to do everything!
You can see what I did by clicking the picture at the top of my article.
Of course, it's free!
Just as the Hummingbird is nesting in the back of Google's server farm, Penguin 2.1 comes back with swords drawn, waiting to slice the search engine optimization pros that have been playing games far too long.
"Google penalizes the lame. The weak-willed entrepreneur that only has time to outsource link building to someone that will spam them to death, or content writing to those that care little about your goals. When Penguin 3.0 rolls out, don't say I didn't warn thee."
Reweets are one of the best indicators that your social content is resonating. But how can you know who is sharing your content? Who retweeted what?
Minor but awesome new feature for HootSuite!

What's your favorite piece of news?
Those involved in Internet marketing know it. The landscape is changing almost daily.
What never changes, though, is the way people who get it end up connecting and/or working together in an attempt to improve the way they serve their audience.
Martin Smith has written an excellent piece on the topic. In particular, I love what he has to say about winning marketing teams:
"Prefer ACTION to JUDGEMENT.
LISTEN more than they TALK.
Great TALKERS (writers, communicators) too.
Less EGO more CURATION.
More CURATION than CREATION.
Respect each other.
Know the TEAM is the thing."

If you blog or own a website, you know what I mean when I say that lazy pitches are annoying.
Well, actually, if you learn to read between the lines, there is some valuable feedback to gain.
Not sure of what I'm talking about? Check out my article. I share how paying attention to one particular email helped me decrease the number of irrelevant pitches that land in my inbox by 60%.
