Thought leaders don’t call themselves thought leaders. They don’t think that way. Think. Lead. Publish. Share. Advise. Influence. But don’t tell me you’re a thought leader. Just be one.
Do you know that there are more than 180,000 self-proclaimed social media gurus, ninjas, etc. on Twitter alone?
I don’t have the numbers for self-proclaimed thought leaders, but I would be ready to bet that there are just as many.
“When I stumble into a self-anointed thought leader, I unfollow them. Immediate grounds for unlike, uncircle, unsubscribe. I might even unpin ‘em if their pins weren’t so damn thoughtful,” says Barry Feldman.
I actually do too.
