Sometimes, we want to say too much in them. As a result, we run the risk of overwhelming sendees.

 

Dave Gerhardt of Drift learnt a valuable lesson by paying attention to other welcome emails. It's a great case study that goes to prove what I always say: Others are an excellent source of inspiration. :-)

Twitter is finally caving in to requests:

 

  • @names and attachements will no longer count toward the 140-character count. 
  • You can now RT and quote tweet yourself
  • No need to use the ”.@” convention at the beginning of tweets for all to see. 

 

This is a very good thing, IMO. People were confused by the rule...
