Designing a website for your company: A conversation with Jon Whitbeck

From socialmediaslant.com

Do you remember your first website? I had created mine to promote my translation services. The thing that really made me proud? The GIF of a mouse lifting weights right in the middle of the front page. Well, as it turns out, everyone else thought it was lame. lol

Connecting the dots of the social web: An interview with Nexalogy's Claude G. Théoret

How can a B2B company or marketer keep an eye on all that social media chatter surrounding their space? It takes time, well-planned strategies and knowledge of what’s relevant and what’s pointless. Also, how can a B2B marketer wade through all the spam infecting the social Web? According to Nexgate, there was an increase of 355 …

Behind the Scenes of The Cleveland Clinic’s Content Marketing Strategy

From www.kunocreative.com

Healthcare is a boring and scary field to outsiders. After all, no one visits hospitals when they are healthy. And we don't see many of those hospitals on social media either.

There are always exceptions though. The Cleveland Clinic is one.

In this interview with Amanda Todorovich, Manager of Digital Engagement, you will learn why the clinic has made a huge splash on social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

There are quotes in every paragraph. So, I will just share my favorite one below:

"We are trying to put content in front of people at the right time. So when we post in the morning, we post about breakfast foods or how to get the most out of your morning workout. At midnight, we post about sleep apnea, insomnia or midnight snacks. It’s not just relevant—it’s extremely relevant."

I love this quote because it sums up exactly what a lot of brands keep missing. The Cleveland Clinic marketing team has obviously taken the time to observe its audience, test, measure, and engage.

They also re-purpose content, and always redirect traffic to the clinic's blog, which features expert tips from healthcare specialists.

"We think about content from our patients’ and from consumers’ perspective."

A must-read to learn the basics of a winning content marketing strategy in every industry.

Interview with Mike Klanac, CEO of GripeO

From socialmediaslant.com

If you read this blog regularly, you know that I keep stressing the major role an audience plays in the success of any business. Of particular importance is the way you address complaints. Unfortunately, we are all very busy and spotting these complaints can be a chore. For customers, it means a lot of work for nothing. Enters GripeO. I came across this tool a couple of months ago on Twitter and the slogan ("A Better Way to Complain") intrigued me. So , I sent a few questions to Co-Founder and CEO, Mike Klanac. The interview is below.
Cendrine Marrouat - cendrinemarrouat.com:

GripeO looks like a very interesting tool to bridge the gap between businesses and customers. What do you think?

Buffer: A model of transparency

From socialmediaslant.com

In October 2013, when Buffer was hacked, the team behind the scheduling tool for Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn did something that many considered awesome.

Cendrine Marrouat - cendrinemarrouat.com:

I came across this interview with Leo Widrich and Joel Gascoigne, the co-founders of  Buffer, today, and had to share it. To me, Buffer is a role model in the transparency arena.

That also explains why the company has enjoyed so much success these last few months.

The interview  is 8-minute long, but well worth a watch.

Jenna Diaz-Gonzalez's curator insight, July 8, 2014 4:53 PM

Transparency is one of Buffer’s core values. The company feels that by being transparent, it’s a mutual benefit to itself and consumers. After being hacked, Buffer used its transparency to mitigate concerns from consumers, thereby avoiding animosity and gaining loyalty.

New Yorker Red Fabbri is a former NBC page who worked for several major shows, including "Saturday Night Live" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," before joining NBC News as a production assistant and then a content producer.
Cendrine Marrouat - cendrinemarrouat.com:

Prollie seeks to determine your social media prominence based on the quality of your interactions rather than your follower count or your number of retweets.

Google Plus: A Twitter conversation on Communities, profiles, and Authorship

Tonight, for my second appearance, I talked about Google+ Communities, profiles, and Google Authorship. It was another great hour of insightful conversations — with some trolling thrown in the mix.
