For my mind it's important to make the distinction between brand pillars and a social strategy when bringing your brand to life through social.

 

For example you need to outline why people should care i.e what is your value proposition is and the reasons people should believe this.

 

Perhaps one of the hardest things about bringing a social strategy to life is to define what the social currency of a brand is. For example a lot of food companies use swopping and exchanging recipes as a way to drive engagement and create value for their communities.
