Both comparisons are skewed by the fact that a year ago some of the news sites were just getting started with Google+ and hadn’t made a lot of posts yet. But it is still interesting to see the differences one year later.

Getting G+ figured out and having tools that will allow you to post your content there are important for moving ahead. Are you posting directly or using an SMMS to post?

I use various tools, from Hootsuite, triberr, also manually. I manage a few G+ accounts - What I've discovered is managing each account individually with a different sign in has kept my sanity. ;)
