If you have a blog and are active on social media, knowing where to be is extremely important.

The ultimate goal of having a real estate blog is to get leads.  In order to get leads from a blog or website, you need traffic.  To get traffic you need to have a site that ranks high on search terms that local buyers and sellers will be using.  

One of the best ways to get a website to rank higher is to get more shares on a piece of content and one of the best ways to achieve this is to share it to real estate groups.  There are tons of real estate groups on social media, some good and some bad.

Twitter has been the number 3 traffic generator to my real estate blog, Rochester's Real Estate Blog, for the first half of 2015 for all of the social media sites.  Only falling behind Pinterest and Google Plus.

Have you heard of Listly? Listly is an excellent content marketing platform that allows you to easily create lists of articles you find useful. It is super easy to create a list of awesome articles. The uses for the site are endless.


This is an example of a real estate list over at Listly. It is a compilation of outstanding real estate articles. As you can see it is a wide variety of real estate topics written by different authors.

I am proud to say I have been mentioned again in another real estate resource as a blog that should be followed. It is always nice to be recognized from your peers.


The author takes note of the fact that much of my content is built around helping both buyers and sellers. The articles are written to help numerous people and not just that are local to my area.
