It’s typically used so that you get an email every time news about your client hits the Internet. Most set up alerts for the company name, stock symbol, executive names, brand or product names, etc. It allows them to capture a copy of the clip and monitor mentions. (Learn to set up Google Alerts here – it is also under the “More> Specialized Search” area.) However, most PR pros don’t think to use alerts in another way: to identify news articles where they can post a client comment. The 11 basic needs are gaining knowledge, gaining and improving skills, feeling competent, persevering through hard times, creating tools, managing danger, regulating emotions, competing for rewards, cooperating for rewards, caring for loved ones, and satisfying the senses with pleasant inputs (sights, smells, sounds, etc.). In the model they will each be referred to by their relevant nouns. Only “satisfying the senses with pleasant inputs” is called “Optimal Choice” because that is the purpose of satisfying our senses. Doesn't mention the physiological benefits of gaming, e.g. release of endorphins etc. Gaming can have a huge positive effect on people's emotions through release of brain chemicals, of course when undertaken at moderate levels:)

You can't be everything to eveyone!
When developing marketing strategies for new clients we often come across this problem. They say the offer great service, a great product at a great price. Well that's just not good enough!
These values are mandatory, if you dont offer above, close your doors and do something else cause its only a matter of time before someone else (around the world) offers your market the same thing.
It's difficult to convonce clients to see the value in owning a niche as opposed to owing a small share of a huge market. The striongest argument in my opinion is if you own a niche, you also own the opinion leaders, innovators and early adopters. These are the aspirational segment that we all want to or end up mimiking. Own them and half your work is done. They will market for you as advocates of your brand.
How???
1. match what you offer with what they want 2. segment and target

Mind mapping is a method that works for quite a lot of people. Brain storming, idea mapping, thought generation, think tanks – call it what you will. Traditionally done on large pieces of paper, why not use your iPad to create mind maps? You could use these for your own purposes, or “convert” those large flip charts into a smaller, digital version. Via Baiba Svenca

Research shows that mind maps (graphic organizers) are effective during all stages of learning. You can use them as an introduction to a unit, during the unit for continued note taking, or at the conclusion as a formative assessment to make sure your students truly understand the material.
