Although this isn't a "how-to" article, I chose it because I think there's real value in seeing good examples when you're learning a skill. For those of you new to Twitter or wanting to learn how to use Twitter more effectively, check out these 11 influencers named by Kerpen. "There are too many great professionals on Twitter to commend them all, but these eleven have become particularly successful influencers," he said.
I see a greater educational benefit from this post. Do some critical thinking about this info. Learn from a PR perspective how to create a Twitter presence that reflects YOU by comparing and contrasting these sites. BEFORE looking at each of these sites, I suggest you consider the following points as a guide for your browsing.
1. Click successively on each Twitter site below. Note the following for each:
**Twitter handle (name with @ symbol)
**Profile photo/image
**Profile description
**Page graphics (if/how they customized plain Twitter page and background to convey their work/image)
**Style of tweeting
**Amount of social interaction
2. How does each Twitter site differ?
3. Are any of these Twitter sites at all similar? If so, in what way?
4. Do you think their text/design/photo/image choices enhance or detract from their site?
5. What impression do you have about the person and his or her company, based on the Twitter site?
6. Do you see a way YOU would change any of these sites if it were YOUR SITE?
7. Do you have any suggestions on how YOU would improve any of these sites?
8. Suggest other questions?
