Google’s social layer, Google+, was busy unwrapping presents for it’s users in late December, but the one gift that promises most to “keep on giving” is Google+ Communities.

The author shares some good quick tips on managing your Google Community - for both your brand and interest. 

The tips include

1. Build your own Communities owned by your brand page

2. Post regularly both your own and curated topical content to your Communities

3. Build a strong moderator team

4. Participate as your brand in other Communities5. Invite the outside world to your Community6. Use Communities for customer service


 All good points however #4 is a delicate balance. I would advise that this is not about promoting. I would also suggest developing the relationships and contributing before promoting your own community.

2) Treat your Google profile like your own site. Assume that your actions always influence your GPA.

Two weeks ago today, Google released “Ripples” for Google+ and most of the world went on with their daily activities. Personally I thought it was just another one of those features that was interesting but nothing I could really use. That was until this Whiteboard+ video which I filmed with Rand.
