A prominent investment bank recently raised its target on Facebook's stock to $102 per share. If Facebook does hit that number, the company will be worth $285 billion, or about 84% of Google's value
as I write this. The increase is the result of Facebook's launch of the Facebook Audience Network (FAN), which they predict will drive $1.1 billion in incremental revenue to Facebook in 2016, and more
than $5 billion by 2020. Many analysts miss where this revenue comes from. The likely loser in FAN's growth is the AdSense/Google Display Network. Here I provide a brief overview of FAN and explain
why it is likely to grow at the expense of AdSense.

"But before you use those influencers to carry your message, or before you hand them a video or an image of something you want them to share,” says Samuel, “make sure that image and message is going to resonate with the lurkers, and the dabblers who they are sharing it with, because that’s the vast majority of your audience. And there is no point in activating influencers to spread a message that is going to fall on deaf ears.”

(From the article): Instead of walking through your busy schedule everyday not seeing what goes on around you, try to look at the world from a different perspective. Examine everything you see offline and online such as advertisements, news, images, and even the conversations that you have with the people you deal with on a daily basis. You can use this information as content for your blog posts and social media updates.

 

This doesn’t mean that you have to constantly be online every second, it simply means looking and thinking how you can integrate social media in your daily life.

Een aantrekkelijk maar in mijn opinie wat twijfelachtig artikel over de verschuiving richting stakeholders' personal branding. Het artikel betoogt dat jezelf verbinden aan interesses niet meer voldoende is en je een rol in het verhaal van de personal brander nodig hebt om waardevolle connecties te maken met je publiek. Weer een iets andere invalshoek in het theoretisch kader rondom 'de nieuwe social marketing'  en alleen daarom al lezenswaardig. Doe er je voordeel mee.
