This article uses a research project to collect data by interviewing internet users to find the percent of online adults who use each social media site per year.  The article is from socialmediaexaminer.com, which is a company that compiles and sells market data and insights on social media networks in order to help companies with their social media marketing strategies.


This article is a prime example of the usefulness of big data. Companies who do not use market research and big data to run their companies and social media strategies will surely be less effective than those who do.  Big data can be intimidating, but companies like socialmediaexaminer.com make it easy for companies to utilized big data and gain valuable insights into their industry and social media.

How to post to Facebook as a LINK SHARE, they way they want to you:


"In Facebook's status update box ..., all you need to do is add a link into the box and let the metadata populate. Then, you'll see the link's Open Graph image, page title, and/or meta description populate, and voila! You're good to go. 

Only thing you need to remember? Don't click the X next to that metadata that just popped up."

Working hard on a SaaS set of publishing tools and was analyzing what it takes to "cross the chasm" from unknown SaaS to successful, well loved tool. Here is what I found:

* Critical that a new tool create community. 
* Haiku Deck demonstrates this idea with their feature gallery:

* Community must scale in size and diversity. 
* Diversity creates community "intelligence".
* Community intelligence helps monetize.
