Measuring Social Media ROI With Google Analytics | Analytics & Optimization | Social Media Marketing | Scoop.it
This post covers best practices for ensuring you have accurate and actionable data inside Google Analytics and also step outside of the tool to complete the full picture and establish onsite and offsite metrics to help us report on our success and most importantly, drive action.
Taylor Roy's insight:

Measuring activity online is one of the most beneficial acts that a business can do. In order to utilize the best marketing tactics in the most efficient way, they must measure how their consumers are acting on the web. Using Google Analytics, allows the company to view the full picture and establish on and off site metrics. All of the online tracking is necessary in order to analyze the final product that is shown. Tweet success: Small businesses turn to social media marketing to build brands - Business Monday - MiamiHerald.com | Social Media Marketing | Scoop.it
In 2014, small businesses in search of customers find that talking up their brand on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks is essential.
Taylor Roy's insight:

This articles serves as a cheat sheet for any marketer, or even small business owners. The information we are presented with allows these marketers to have a more simple, more effective social media experience. "The eyes have it" I think this was the most important point throughout the article. Social media mainly consists of viewing with some interaction. If the consumer does not see something pleasing to the eye, it might not catch their attention as well. An ad or social media post must include graphics, or at least colorful images.  A graphic designer is a necessary addition if someone in the company cannot fulfill these duties. They must be familiar with the content that pleases the eye most effectively, in order to create the most efficient ads.

One main hotspot that this article tells us to watch for is Google+ Communities. This platform has a graphic designer built in, which allows easier creation of the posts/ads being seen by consumers. It also allows easier access to editing posts, and It's members can form relationships with the right brands for a great marketing experience.
