This article shows creative ways in which companies can use a variety of different Facebook posts to increase engagement and interaction. It shows how to make customers more involved in a brand by doing things such as using hash tags, encouraging them to upload their own photos, sharing recipes and creative ideas, and using celebrity endorsements. Doing this sort of thing can be quite successful as it encourages customers not only to become more involved in the brand, but also reciprocate posts with their own photos or posts. This can extend the reach of a company's post, as all of the people who reciprocate will be sharing this with everyone on their friends list as well, encouraging them to take part, and possibly also encouraging them to become more involved with the brand.

Over four-fifths (81%) of small and midsize businesses (SMBs) use social media to drive business growth, and an additional 9% are planning to use it in the future, according to a recent report from LinkedIn and TNS.

Of the SMBs already using social media, 94% use it for marketing, and nearly half also use it for learning/deriving business insights.

Overall, SMBs seem fairly bullish on social media: 60% say it helps to gain new customers, and 56% increased spend in the past year.
