This could be a useful tool for journalists and media managers to understand changing audience behaviour and respond accordingly. Many are writing about this as a marketing tool, but I see it of value to those producing content, too.

Taptu is a neat tool for, as the site's blurb says, gaining "instant access to all your interests in one beautiful little app". Set up the topics and feeds you want to follow and share & comment instantly. Note: Declaration of interest - I did some consultancy work on this product. If any journalists have experience using this tool for newsgathering please add comments below. Delete the scoop?

Unlike Hootsuite, which is browser-based, you have to download TweetDeck. It's a great personal browser for staying in touch with what’s happening now, connecting you with your contacts across Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and more. You can post to multiple sources.
