Livestation

Livestation | Social media kitbag | Scoop.it
Download the Livestation player to watch live TV and get screen grabs and Tweet them via Twitpic.

This is great for anyone who wants to grab breaking news footage and tweet it using Twitpics. You can then use Storify or Storyful to bring that asset into your reports.

You can also chat with other viewers to gain perspectives and enter the global conversation around breaking news. Livestation can be viewed online, too, at http://www.livestation.com/.

[Declaration of interest: I have helped Livestation as a content strategy consultant and still have an interest in the company.]

Al Jazeera, BBC, Press TV, NHK and lots more. I have been using the client for a long time and the screen grab from live feature is very useful. Chatting with viewers around the world to get their reactions to news is also quite insightful.

Hi Matt, have you found it useful at all in creating stories?
Matt's comment, March 16, 2011 12:51 PM
Yes I have as it gave me background information, ability to talk to people following the story live and get live screen grabs in seconds. Quite useful.
