Thanks for including Audioboo in your toolkit. I'm glad that you find it useful. I've just joined the team here and I'm an avid user of the app myself. It's great for recording short interviews, reports and atmos while on the move.

You can record 5 minutes of audio from a smartphone (or upload from your computer), add a picture, title, tags and geolocation data then set it to automatically post to your blog, Twitter or Facebook account. There are pro features being developed for businesses and media organisations and we've already had Al Jazeera and The Guardian use it from the front line North Africa.

Audio is a powerful tool and we're trying to make sound social. Follow us on Twitter @Audioboo and say hello. I'm happy to help with any questions you might have.

Happy boo-ing!
Kate

SoundCloud

SoundCloud | Social media kitbag | Scoop.it
Adding value to sound. This tool enables you to upload audio and tag it with images and links and then share with your community. It's designed to bring an extra element to audio files. It's free and takes seconds to register and create and account.

This from the site's blurb. "Create, record and share the sounds you create anywhere to friends, family and the world with SoundCloud, the world's largest community of sound creators.

"Timed comments let your friends and fans give you valuable feedback at specific moments throughout the waveform. Pinpoint exactly what's working well and start a conversation around it."

Very easy to use and the embeds look great. Was soon tempted to pay for the premium edition that offers over 2 hours and more features.
