European business travelers prefer to book direct with hotels

According to a new Accor study, European business travelers book their hotels online, mostly directly via the hotel's website (43%) or through travel websites (33%). Location is their primary concern when choosing a hotel (for 66%). And free Wi-Fi is now an absolute prerequisite for one in two business travelers.

Lost in the hype of the shiny new device and the kerfuffle that has been the maps fiasco, was the inclusion of a new app called Passbook. The app promises to be an electronic wallet for all of your digital coupons, membership and gift cards, movie tickets and boarding passes. Passbook collects those items from other apps, emails or direct download through the Safari browser and conveniently keeps them all well organized in a single place. When it comes time to use one of your coupons or tickets, you simply have the cashier scan a bar code on the screen of your phone and you're on your way.

Create and post a video on YouTube talking about the announcement and linking back to the announcement on your website
Embed the YouTube video into a blog post and publish the blog post linking back to the announcement page
Post the announcement page on other social networks such as Reddit, Digg and StumbleUpon
“In my experience, the combined effect of all of this promotion as soon as the announcement is made is generally a 4x to 5x increase in traffic thanks to the improved search engine rankings of the news,” says Corson-Knowles.
