From the ability to search and tap into sources that should not be what everyone else is looking at, to the ability to know in and out its chosen niche of interest and its players, the good content curator has an uncanny talent for scanning, selecting and triple-verifying anything potentially interesting before even considering showcasing in its selections.

In a recent article, we looked at some ways for businesses to increase sales with Pinterest. Since then, Pinterest has only catered to businesses even more, having launched some new tools and resources. Suffice it to say, the opportunities are blooming on this red hot social site, which also recently launched apps for iOS and Android. Via Julia Campbell

Pinterest is an interesting proposition for charities/nonprofits, including recruitment. This article makes some interesting suggestions about using the new secret boards to plan campaigns - they can be set up in secret then made public. It's unfortunately that this can't, yet, happen the other way around - it would be helpful to take public boards to secret status when they've played their part, for later reinvention. I'd like to see Pinterest give all its boards a Public/Secret switch - would be much easier all round and get past the current limitation on the number of secret boards. Delete the scoop?
