Facebook planning 'TV style' ads

Facebook planning 'TV style' ads | Social Media | Scoop.it

Facebook is set to introduce TV-style adverts to users’ news feeds, selling spots to companies for up to $2.5 million (£1.64m) a day, according to a news report.


The commercials will initially be sold on a full-day basis and can only be targeted to users based on age and gender, according to the people.


By relying on fewer categories, Facebook is mimicking the way television ads are purchased, an attempt to make the process more comfortable for executives accustomed to TV, the people said.

This infographice sums up why you need to respond to a customer immediately. When that service storm starts it can quickly gain momentum and get out of hand. A quick response team needs to be in place to spot them on the horizon and resolve them quickly. My recent experience with a UK retailer was a surprise to me when they responded in less that 20 minutes - 24/7 service. Now they have exceeded my expectations and I am likely to be more loyal as I feel that I have been treated like a real VIP. Take note
