The problem for many of you is your excessive consumption of highly refined processed non foods  too much sugar, and junk foods, which put a huge burden on your body by giving it what it doesn't need and can't utilize for its functions. Your body works when it gets real nutrition from nature which contains essential  fiber, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids (protein)

 

Health tips: Eat all the greens and veggies you want. Eat ripe fruit. As much as you can eat raw living foods (local/organic if possible). Load up on raw nuts/seeds, herbs/spices, ancient gluten free whole grains if that works for your system. Eat beans, lentils, peas which will satiate you, and are rich in protein, iron, zinc, folate, and potassium. Soak and sprout your raw living foods if you can to derive more nutrients from them.

Did you know that fermented food is good for your gut as it increases your diversity of healthy bacteria and heals your body? Your gut is rich in microorganisms and your health is influenced by your bacteria.

 

When you change the balance of your gut and the food you consume, this affects your blood sugar and your risk for diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer's. The bacteria that inhabit your gut eat the food you do. When they are healthy, so are you and when they are sick, you are too.

 

Health tips:  Foods to remove, avoid, and eliminate: sugar, artificial sweeteners, prescription medications (check with your doctor), over the counter meds like Ibuprofen, processed non food, chlorine and fluoride in your water, and antibiotics. Replace with fermented food, foods rich in sulfur (cabbage, garlic, onions, leeks, take high CFU (colony forming unit) probiotics, and eat other prebiotic foods including raddichio, and asparagus.

 

Take vitamin D, consume algae and sea veggies for omega 3 DHA.  Fat helps to turn on genes which reduce inflammation.

As I go by my day to day, I am constantly amazed by what I read in threads (for real its crazy…). I mean I understand that its about HipHop art and all but how some of the folks in this Hip Hop generation is so disconnected, well its scary. I mean I get this image of the mad artist and fans now when I read hiphop threads and comments these days. All this anger, is it really about hip hop?
I mean hiphop has always been a contact sport. Guys who wound up in hip hop usually weren’t the jocks or the school hustler (the hustler end came later when the hustlers became the financiers “if you want to be on a label where you don’t have the ceo dancing in your video…”). They weren’t the honor role cats or the school romeos. They were the out crowd (those other folks showed up later…) and to this day (based on what I’m reading in the thread, they still are the out crowd in a way).
You see theses guys in hiphop (and as djs) created their own subculture where they as nobodies could be somebodies I don’t think they ever dreamed it would get this huge commercially. As a matter of fact it has gotten so big that once again these nobodies (who became somebodies) are back to being nobodies (and by the comments in these threads, they aint taking it well…). In a way, they want their hiphop back.
Yeah they want the hiphop where bars mattered and rappers wrote their own bars and producers made their own beat. They want all these things but what they really want is to go back to being somebodies in their hiphop universe. That might be hard because hiphop now is about the brand and the business of brands and in business the somebodies call the shots (hey how did that happen?)
So no matter what hiphop is to you remember this, hiphop is about how you feel about your personal good time and that good time should not be defined by others (unless they’re spending $1.29 on itunes #lsmh). HipHop is your moment and your ability to choose and control your entertainment. So is it really about HipHop? I think it is.

Did you know that some plant based real whole foods have more special nutrients than others? Every plant offers some nutrition, others offer more. Look for the dark greens, legumes,  nuts, seeds, cruciferous veggies, root veggies, berries, and herbs/spices.

 

Any of the dark leafy green veggies are worth their weight in gold in regards to health benefits. Greens are rich in chlorophyll, which is the whole body purifier. Chlorophyll is what hemoglobin does in the human body.

 

Chlorophyll oxygenates and rebuilds your blood which in turn optimizes your body's ability to absorb nutrients and neutralizes cancer causing free radicals. Chlorophyll also helps to detoxify your body and regulates blood sugar. Greens are also rich in essential fiber.

 

Legumes consisting of beans, peas like chickpeas, and lentils offer your body the second meal effect which helps you feel satiated. It's a good idea to eat some legumes with every meal. Always choose organic for all your plant based foods.Legumes are very nutrient dense foods. You can sprout them and when you do, their antioxidant power doubles, triples, and even quadruples.

 

Health Tips: Besides eating beans and chickpeas in main dishes, you can also add them into healthy desserts. Just use a little grade B maple syrup or a few drops of liquid Stevia. You'll be amazed at the taste and think of the nutrition you're getting. Chocolate bean brownies, chickpea cookies and more.

 

Are you adding protein powder to your smoothies? Why not add sprouted lentils instead? You'll get way more healthy protein than any powder can give you. Or you can add sprouted sunflower or pea shoots. Delicious and so nutritious.The true bang for your nutritional buck..

Did you know that the electrolyte mineral magnesium is responsible for over 300 biochemical reactions in your body including bone, muscle, and nerve function? Magnesium is one of the most critical minerals for your body and magnesium deficiency is on the rise.

 

Magnesium, calcium, potassium, vitamin D and K are essential for building strong bones. Research shows that people who eat the most produce have greater bone density and a lower risk for fractures.

 

Magnesium affects several brain chemicals thought to play major roles in migraines and people who have migraines have lower than normal amounts of magnesium in their brain.

 

Health Tips:  You can get magnesium by eating real whole organic plant based food. Unprocessed plant foods have more protective nutrients that you may be lacking.
